This Privacy Policy explains how Quiet Tools (operated by Mao Sazaki) ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with our website and the macOS application "ThroughView" (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
(1) Contact / Support
When you contact us, we may collect:
- your email address
- the content of your inquiry
- (optional) your name and device/environment details (e.g., macOS version) that you choose to provide
(2) Payments (Direct Sales)
For direct sales, payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. Payment-related information (such as billing details and payment methods) is handled by Lemon Squeezy. We may receive or access limited purchase information for support and verification purposes (e.g., purchase ID, purchase date, product, and email address).
(3) App Data
ThroughView does not send your image files, folder contents, or file paths to our servers during normal use. We do not collect analytics or tracking data from the app for behavioral advertising.
For direct purchases, the app may periodically communicate with our license validation system to verify the validity of your license key. This may include transmitting your license key, app version, and minimal technical metadata. This information is used solely for license verification and not for analytics or marketing.
(If we introduce crash reporting or diagnostics in the future, we will update this policy to disclose what is collected.)
(4) Cookies
Our website may use cookies for essential functions, fraud prevention, and/or analytics. If we add specific analytics tools, we will disclose the tool name and the scope of collected data here.
(5) Face Data
SeekShot may process faces found in user-selected local images in order to provide on-device face search. This processing generates numerical face feature data used only for matching faces within the user's local library. Face data is stored only on the user's device, is not transmitted to our servers, and is not shared with third parties. Face data is retained until the user removes indexed content, deletes the index, or deletes the app.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- respond to inquiries and provide support
- verify purchases, process refunds, and prevent fraud/abuse
- operate, maintain, and improve the Service (to the minimum extent necessary)
- comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes
3. Sharing
We do not share personal information with third parties without your consent except:
- when required by law, or
- with service providers necessary to deliver the Service (e.g., payment processing via Lemon Squeezy).
