1. Opening a folder

Launch ThroughView.

Drag a folder from Finder onto the ThroughView window, or use File > Open Folder from the menu bar.

ThroughView reads the entire folder hierarchy, including all subfolders.

Images begin appearing immediately as they are discovered.
2. Browsing images

All images across all subfolders appear in a single unified view.

Scroll vertically to browse through your images.

Use zoom controls or pinch gestures to adjust the thumbnail size.

Click an image to select it. The Inspector panel displays a preview and detailed metadata, including capture date, camera, lens, exposure settings, resolution, color profile, file size, and file path.

Press the Space bar to open Quick Look.

Double-click an image to enter Loupe Mode. Loupe Mode displays the image at its original resolution in full-screen for detailed inspection.
3. Navigating the interface

Use the scroll bar or trackpad to move through images.

A loading indicator appears in the status bar while images are being discovered.

You can open a new folder at any time — ThroughView will replace the current view.
4. Closing and cleanup

Close the window or quit ThroughView when you're done.

No image data or browsing history is stored after the session ends.

Your files and folders remain exactly as they were before you opened them.
5. Activating a license (direct purchase)

After purchasing, check your email for a license key.

Open ThroughView and go to ThroughView > Activate License from the menu bar.

Enter your license key and click Activate.

The license is now active. No account or internet connection is required after activation.
